Around here, we think that there is also a secret third way, but that’s another story. I didn’t expect to be writing or reading about Elvis, but after listening to Miguel Conner of Aeon Byte Gnostic Radio talk about his book on the King, The Occult Elvis, I fell all the way down the rabbithole.

For the record, Elvis said there was only one King, and it was not him. Growing up, I was not an Elvis fan, but he was my mom’s favorite - and she happened to see his penultimate show in Ohio in 1977, less than a scant two months before he died. Most of my music these days is classical, but I did have to put on How Great Art Thou after reading Miguel’s book. And, unlike JFK, which has been alluded to be a ritual occult killing, Elvis appears to have found his Fate, i.e. his Amor Fati. I wonder if JFK knew what was going to happen to him that fateful day in Dallas, but playing the role of the King appears to be one that Elvis fully embraced and knew his ultimate fate… The lover of fate but that it is easier to embrace death than it is to live, addicted to doom, like moths to a flame. But now, on with the show.

One of the themes we’ll encounter throughout this series was categorized by Sir James Frazer in The Golden Bough as that of the dying god, the sacrificial king, and the scapegoat. With Elvis we get all three, neatly wrapped into one. He seemed resigned to his fate, as we noted, amor fati - the love of fate, even if that fate is doom. We’ll first introduce this concept through our first Brotherhood, that of the Snake. This concept of the scapegoat/sacrificial king/dying god is first introduced as the maverick - yes, the Luciferian or Promethean figure- yet it is also a figure we also see with Jesus, who ultimately serves as the ultimate sacrifice. While these thematic concepts are prevalent throughout history, the controlling mechanism seeks to constrain and confine these archetypes. However, a thorough analysis of making a deal with the devil will realize that this is also a Trickster archetype we’re dealing with. And some have an addiction, an addiction they just can’t shake, and when that addiction is doom, we know how that tale ends, all too well.

When comparing figures like Elvis and Robert Johnson, we get another synchronicity in the form of making a deal with the devil. Robert Johnson and Elvis share the same death date, that of August 16, and we’ll just leave these little nuggets here for now; Robert Johnson was the ‘first’ member of the 27 club while Elvis lived to a ripe old age of 42. I’m not sure exactly who Robert Johnson’s devil is, but we’ll introduce one of our own here called Colonel Tom Parker in just a moment. But first, I want to talk a little bit about the synthesis of east and west that we get in the Sixties, and how that begins with Elvis. He was one of the first American blackbelts in kung fu, and an early practitioner of martial arts and yoga as well as being the king of rock and roll.

Much of what we think of with the counterculture of the Sixties appears to have its genesis with Elvis. If you want the full details, then I recommend Miguel’s book, as he uses first hand accounts to tell the King’s story, and it resonates with many of our themes. In future columns, I want to discuss a few of these characters in depth such as Robert Anton Wilson, Dr. Timothy Leary, Philip K. Dick, and Alan Watts - as well as some of the other players in the Conspiracy realm like E. Howard Hunt. Egil “Bud” Krogh introduced Elvis to Nixon, and Nixon was one of the Plumbers, alongside Hunt (Hunt served 33 months for his role in the break-in, by the way). We’ll get back to Elvis the Wounded Healer in a moment, but first we want to look at his manager and Elvis’s time in West Germany in the Army. But first, we have to properly introduce the Colonel.

The story over the years was that Elvis kept Colonel Tom Parker around out of loyalty. It’s an interesting piece of the puzzle. Parker was actually Andreas Cornelis van Kuijk from Breda, Netherlands, which brings to mind the Dutch-Anglo network. He may or may not have killed someone. Elvis was just a local regional star, having gotten his start at Sun Records in 1954. (Note from the editor: Brad’s mom wasn’t the only Elvis fan, my grandmother claims she was the first member of the Elvis fan club when he was on the radio in Memphis. After hearing him sing and hearing the DJ make a call for local residents to come sign up, she and her friend rushed down the station to be the first signatures on the list. We wonder how many of those first members there are!) His manager at the time, Bob Neal, introduced the King to the Colonel. Interestingly, the honorary Colonel comes from Parker’s time in the Louisiana State Militia. We’re just wanting to note this curious character, perhaps nothing will come of it, but it’s a rather sad part of the story too, once you realize how badly he defrauded Elvis.

Elvis was the original rock n roll rebel.

“Rock and roll ignited a firestorm. Preachers, teachers, politicians, professors, and worried parents saw in the unbridled emotions it unleashed an express lane to immortality and crime. And lurking in the background - particularly in the South - was a perceived mixing of the races. Many white listeners, hearing Elvis on the radio, assumed he black. The unrestrained passion in his voice, and the overt sexuality in his stage performance, frightened many white leaders, who feared it could lead to breaking down the barriers of segregation (a well-founded fear, as it turned out). - Tillery, the Seeker King

We’re going to examine this from as many different angles as we can, throughout our journey together, but we wonder, did Elvis tap into this energy and just become this bigger than life figure, was it a syncreticism between him and the Universe? How much do these dubious characters around him play a role in the Rise and Fall of the King? Perhaps these are rhetorical, questions on which we shall elaborate as we study other myths and legendary figures from the ages. The cynic might sneer and think that it’s all a bunch of poppycock, that Elvis was obviously manipulated by some kind of Custodial, Control Mechanism. To us, it looks like a maverick figure that will come up with Gods of Eden and the Brotherhood of the Snake, but for now, let’s just say that the whole thing is just curious. It’s something that Elvis knew you had to experience for your own self.

Now, as it turns out, that rogue Elvis was tamed thanks to his time in the Army. Elvis was drafted in 1958. Instead of getting a special assignment, the Colonel convinced Elvis to just be a regular soldier, a Jeep driver. I have never served in the military, but my understanding is that you go through a similar initiation phase during basic training. You are broken down and built back up. Now, naturally, the real Elvis will re-emerge, but it will have been alchemized by his time served. I believe this allowed him the discipline to marry his anima and animus, which will serve him in his esoteric studies. However, I wondered about any possible intelligence ties while he was overseas. And while I’ve not been able to find any documentation that Elvis was part of any kind of connection to the Gehlen network while he was there, he does meet Priscilla. And while her family has Air Force ties, there do not appear to be any intelligence ties there, either. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence that he was stationed there. We do find it curious though, perhaps we have a suspicious nature. Elvis’s unit was also labeled as an Intelligence unit, but does not appear to bear any further fruit either, so on with our story.

Colonel Tom’s strategy appears to have worked, Elvis came back more popular than ever, since he served his time like everyone else, and his young fans were quite excited for his return. It seems like a lot of Elvis’s inner circle over the years just thought of a lot of the things that Elvis did as Elvis being Elvis, but that’s our next topic of discussion. I was curious about this Other Side of Elvis and so I thought I would read Miguel’s book, and I’ll just let him fill in the blanks. In The Occult Elvis Miguel will:

• Supply the supernatural, prophetic, and cosmic circumstances that gave rise to Elvis

• Catalog his extensive interest and research in alternative spiritualities

• Reveal his profound, otherworldly experiences, visionary encounters, mystic abilities, and reality-bending powers

• Showcase his arcane rituals how they paved the way for modern spirituality and praxis

• Make the case that Elvis was part of the machinations of higher forces that transformed Western culture forever

• Provide Jungian, Steiner-oriented, alchemical, and other esoteric ideals on the rise and fall of the King, examining his self-destructive, addictive persona, and solving the perennial confounding relationship with manager Colonel Tom Parker

• Present the eerie parallels between Elvis and Philip K. Dick that underscore Elvis’s remarkable abilities

We’ll get to some more PKD in a bit, but what was interesting to me was this further developing idea of the Twin. First, we were dealing with Duplicates in the Lee Harvey Oswald article, and now we’re on to the Twins. As a Gemini, I can relate, and we’ll discuss how these ideas get seeded into our psyche as we go. Astrotheology serves as a foundational aspect to the mythologies we’ll be studying, and the Twins play their part, among the twelve. In this case, however, it’s a missing Twin syndrome that presents itself with Elvis, who lost his twin Jesse at birth and PKD who lost his twin sister Janet not long after birth. Miguel uses Jesse and Jesus as Elvis’s guiding light, his holy guardian angels, or his daimon:

“Daimon is timeless, it has present before it [a man’s] past and future, or it has not present and is that past and future, and as the dramatisations recede from his waking mind and from the dreams that reproduce his waking desires they begin to express that knowledge” - W.B. Yeats, Words upon the Window Pane

I didn’t expect Elvis to be our introduction to the daimon concept either, but here we are. And what a fun ride it will be. This is a concept I first learned of with Socrates; with Socrates, his daimon only told him “No.” The daimon is also referred to as the Paraclete, or the Holy Spirit. We’ll see this as “space” in the Pythagorean sense, that is what gives us time to breathe in our Music of the Spheres. And so we could say that what we’re undertaking here is a study of the Muse.

Bear with me, but the feeling that I got, the more that I read, was that Elvis was the herald of the Age of Aquarius. But he arrived too soon, or the control mechanism had to keep him confined, through the Colonel. We’ll cover the World Ages more thoroughly, at least as a supplement to this material, but if we look at the Age of Pisces, then what we can discern is a sense of separation. The two fish of Pisces are separate (and the Christ unites them, in the Vesica Piscis, as is often seen). In Elvis, we can see how he unites this spirit with his twin Jesse and through his spirituality. One of the things that can save the Wounded Healer is a divine experience, Elvis appeared to be caught in the trap of being Elvis, perhaps that was the one addiction that truly reigned over the King. Elvis did have his own experience though:

“Elvis explained that he had perceived not only pure evil from a face that represented all that was wrong with the world, but that it also symbolized the darkness inside Elvis. In his mind, Elvis had asked that God destroy him if that’s what he become. Destroy him and fill him with something new…”

“And then it happened!” Elvis exclaimed. “It exploded inside me. The face of Stalin turned right into the face of Jesus, and he smiled at me, piercing my heart and every fiber of my being with his light. For the first time in my life, I know the truth. I’ll never have to doubt again. God and Christ are a living reality.”

Another thing that appealed to me with the story of Elvis was his use of Talismans. I, too, am a fan, and Elvis liked to not only wear the Christian Cross, but also the Star of David - and, of course, the Ankh. “I don’t want to miss getting through the gates of Heaven on a technicality,” Elvis would quip. A lot of what appears to happen to Elvis through this journey we will revisit when we get to the mystery schools. Elvis appears to be playing the role of the hierophant along the way, for is the hierophant not also the wounded healer?

The other thing that is brought up in the book is that this idea of Christianity is that of the ancient Gnostic Christian, that is, the divine spark within us catches the flame of the living Christ and is experienced - while mystics don’t need holy books to find God, what they do need are holy books to explain their experiences, to make some sense of it. Elvis was a very devout student and a devourer of books. Elvis had an off again and on again guru, Larry Geller, who wrote about Elvis and his studies: “Elvis knew that other people - intelligent people - recognized the value of his studies and liked the changes they saw in him. Elvis was rarely happier than when he was in a position to enlighten someone else. I don’t think he was that way because he liked to show off, but because he wanted to try desperately to be seen as an intelligent, thinking person.” I don’t think that it then becomes a surprise that Elvis was more of a spiritualist than anything else.

I referred to the fact that Elvis was confined to America, and he was a quintessential part of Americana. Graceland is still one of the biggest tourist draws in America, and we find Elvis impersonators making the round to this day. I hope, if nothing else, this encourages you to pick up a copy of The Occult Elvis, or at the very least, to listen to Miguel talk about it on his various podcast appearances.

Technically, this should have come first in our reading order, so start here if you are new. I wanted to discuss some of the underlying themes of our studies into secret societies and steganography. I refer to this as a History of Secret Intelligence Networks (S.I.N.), but we’re going to have to define our terms and our approach to history. I thought I should also let you know that I am what we refer to as self-initiated, and I do not belong to any orders. While there may be things still occulted, much of the workings have been published over the years - ‘the cat is out of the bag’ in other words. So we don’t have to worry about any vows or oaths, nor breaking our word. Let’s start by getting into what we are calling history and mythology.

History vs Mythology is one of the themes we are about to take up, and it’s perhaps the best place to start since we’re calling this a History of S.I.N. Another theme that we will cover is propaganda, and that’s what a lot of history appears to be. History and mythology can thus be understood as fictional (though we will agree that fiction in this sense has a mix of truths and falsehoods, as do most things, it’s sorting them out that’s the hard part). We’ll introduce some of the organizations under the guise of “building a legend” and how they utilize mythology to give them credence and, in some cases, to imply a much deeper antiquity, or to establish their aura and to give them import within their communities and countries.

Mythology will be intermixed with “history”. When we refer to the Myths, we are referring to them as verbal and written iconographs of Truth. That is, the Myths we treat as not being literally true or historical are an appeal to a higher Truth, a poetic Truth. And sometimes we’ll need to tear that down under the guise of the Theater. Other times, the stage magic will be the whole point of the treatise. I never said it would be easy, but at least it’s entertaining, if you don’t mind being hypnotized. One of the first Myths we’ll look at will involve the Eleusinian Mysteries, and they are also featured in the analogy of the caves, as one of the central focus points involves a play.

Now, what do we mean by “secret” in Secret Intelligence Networks? Well at least two things, again. On one hand we have a secret society meaning a society that is hidden from public view, a secret society that is operating sub rosa. We’ll encounter an early example of this with the transition from the Umayyad to the Abbasid caliphates in the Arabic Empire. The Abbasid moved their pieces into play, so we only learn about their organization until AFTER the revolution. On the other hand, we have a secret society that operates openly, but it also has vows. And those vows must be kept secret in order to progress. Here, we can use a modern day example such as that of the much maligned freemasons. Anyone can join the freemasons or their sister organization the Order of the Eastern Star, and there are co-ed versions of the freemasons as well. While those vows have been broken - much of that lore has been openly published by someone who has broken those vows. This allows us to know many of their secrets. Many of them are apparent within a study of comparative religion as they follow in a pattern we will see time and time again.

One of the things that I think Crowley was maligned for was for the breaking of these vows, intentionally or inadvertently. The story goes that when he published the Book of Lies in 1911, he was then confronted over publishing some of the secrets of the O.T.O. When the head of the order realized that he had derived these principles from his studies, he was then upgraded in the order. Crowley published some of these in the Equinox and his secretary Israel Regardie subsequently published further rituals.

Notice I did refer to the Masons as much maligned. One of the concepts we like to use is that of fungibility - we need to be able to separate the wheat from the chaff. Not all Masons. That’s all we’re saying. However, there are some dark occultists out there, and dark practitioners, and it’s often hard to tell who’s who given the whole nature of the secrecy angle. These groups also imbue one with the sense of ownership, rather than the realization that it’s not a zero sum game but that in the spiritual sense, everybody wins. However, down here in the Malkhut, everyone’s got a racket.

One of the ideas we’re going to explore with this theory is the study of the profane vs the sacred, and how there is this compulsion for some of these groups to make profane what others hold sacred. This happens with the perspective that this as a zero sum game, and that they have to destroy. In my upcoming column on Elvis, one of the ideas that comes up with Occult Elvis is the idea that the Most Evil, whatever you want to call that force, Satan or the Devil, is out there. The Destroyer. We’ll see this represented by figures such as Kali in the Myths, but I was recently reminded of a line by Death from Neil Gaiman “It always ends. That’s what gives it value.” So we want to deconstruct the idea that it’s evil. It does not appear that Destruction is evil, but that it’s a part of the cycle of change. What makes it evil is the Personification and worship of the destructive force. When it becomes a one sided nature, we find, time and time again, we get trapped in our own schemes and mechanisms. In our study, we’ll view these as satanic reversals. And remember, the original Satan was the Adversary, the prosecuting attorney for Yahweh. More roles, more acting. And we’ll return to this analogy of the caves stage show again and again.

There is also the sacred idea of making little acts into sacred practices, to make sacred the profane can also be taken to honoring God in all its manifest forms.

Another idea we’re going to be addressing shortly is that of paleocontact. What I mean by this is that in the ancient past, humans were contacted and influenced by ancient astronauts or ancient aliens. That we are, in essence, a cargo cult of some previous advanced civilization. I led with the ancient astronauts because that is the camp that I believe to be the most likely predecessor. I think our past could be interpreted as a cyclical survivor of catastrophes. These catastrophes appear to occur at regular cycles, with some being worse than others, ranging from localized catastrophes (city-state or country regional) to global (the biblical deluge).

Another type of inversion also appears to be one of chronology, a subject we’ll tackle at a later time, but one that ties into our overarching theory about the past. We’ll approach it from a more standard model approach here, dealing with the ancients, then through the lens of the Arabic Empire, then into the Crusades and Renaissance. We’ll then go through the Early Modern Age, the Industrial Ages, and into the Modern Eras. We’re also focusing this on a Western mindset, but we’ll see the Eastern influence from time to time. We won’t be engaging in a worldwide study, leaving this open for further research and evaluation.

Back to the Garden of Eden, and we’ll return to the Gardens a few times as it were. One of the early ideas that will set the tone for us is this idea that these ancients used the Garden as a laboratory. That there is this evidence for the crossbreeding of ancient hominids in the Levant, and that it may very well be directed by these Custodians, whoever they are, is a theme we’ll explore. This idea of custodial experimentation is an idea that we’ll speculate on further as we see a similar pattern time and time again. This idea doesn’t seem very far from this idea that Charles Fort had, that Earth is some kind of Farm. We could also cross reference the Tower of Babel here, and note that we’ll be examining these ideas through the lens of comparative mythology.

It also appears this has resulted in some form of technological suppression down here on the farm. The Custodial force appears to want to keep us confined to certain technologies and levels of development. One can wonder if that is The Universe pushing back on us, not letting us develop until we are intellectually and spiritually able to do so. We use the word spiritually here, knowing it’s a loaded term yet unable to conjure up a better term. Spirit has its definition in every mystical practice, each practice just uses different names: prana, tao, ki, chi, ka, orogone, vril, and many, many others. This is also a subject we can further elucidate upon but shall leave for now. Yes, not all of these ideas are analogous but there are many layers to this reality, many levels to these towers, and the idea of subtle energies permeates through them all.

Returning to the idea of suppression, we’ll examine how these are used by intelligence agencies and how spies use these techniques in order to serve multiple masters. It has been said that no one can serve two masters, but through the ability to cause the self to dissociate, the psyche itself can be split so that these agents can serve as double, and then even triple, quadruple, and so on (I have a thousand eyes, and one said the Three Eyed Crow). We’ll follow the development and refinement of these techniques as we go, with our first documented case being through the Islamic Golden Age and the Brethren of Purity. However, we’ll examine that these ideas date back into antiquity and mythology through the Brotherhood of the Snake.

Whether we think of it as history or mythology, we’ll treat the Brotherhood of the Snake as the progenitor of all modern secret societies. The blueprint that they follow has been in place since prehistory. We’ll spend some time with the Assassins and the Knights Templar, following this model, then see how it evolves and is reborn through the Illuminati and the Enlightened Ones of the Modern Eras. We’ll also discuss this trap that they present, the Two Paths of Enki vs Enlil, as well as the Way, the secret Third Thing. Not to mention The Fourth Way.

It’s here where it gets difficult, for as a wise old man once said, “Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads!” What we do need is the Way. We’re going to see how they use this Duality of Either/Or in order to present two paths. In other words, Civilization needs Barbarians at the gates in order to keep its citizens in check. The same opposing custodial forces (Enki and Enlil in this case) report to the same Controller (Anu in this case). We’ll see this re-emerge after the Crusades through this Machiavellian script, and the use of political theater and divide and conquer tactics in the Renaissance. That will get reborn yet again with the Rosicrucians and the works of The Bard, and we’ll travel that journey through the rise of the British Empire. We’ll also see the rise of Rationalism, the New Inquisition and how Science replaces the Church as far as all things that are holy under the Empire.

The Empire Never Ended and the Black Iron Prison awaits. One of the things we’ll do from time to time is to take a step back and look at things from a Jungian perspective. That is, this control mechanism, “the Empire”, exists within humanity’s collective unconscious. We have this underlying desire to be One. Another interesting duality being the process of Individuation and the reliance on Others. We’ve mentioned the divide and conquer aspect, attempting to pigeonhole one into an either/or reality, but for us, we view it as a both/and universe. One type of thinking we will want to avoid in this could be classified under Amor Fati - the lover of fate. That is, it is easier to embrace death than it is to live. We can become addicted to Doom, like moths to a flame.

Perhaps, for us English speakers, the Great Work, but certainly One of the Great Works takes place in the 16th and 17th centuries. I began to think of it as this project put together by this group of Englishmen who appeared to be Rosicrucians, thus, the Rosicrucian Project. My research eventually led me to the works of Peter Dawkins, and I realized I was following in his wake. Much like the esoteric connections with JFK and the Discordians, I sort of stumbled into this mystery, just following the clues. But I think the project passed from John Dee to Francis Bacon, with Edward de Vere (the 17th Earl of Oxford - 17 is one of those numbers, and with 3 gives us R and C, the Rosy Cross) acting as a hidden Emperor. One cipher we’ll see will be the naught (“0”) and Edward de Vere has an untimely and unremarked upon death in 1604. We’ll return to that in a bit, but in our theory, Francis Bacon serves as the editor in chief, John Dee as the mastermind behind the ciphers and codes, and Ed de Vere as this Poet King figure.

What exactly was the Rosicrucian Project? It appears to be passing down knowledge, but in many ways, there are layers to the knowledge transfer. The exoteric outer layer that we find in the sonnets and plays, and the inner hidden knowledge we find encoded through the flexibility and versatility of language and number, symbols and steganography. The English language originally developed from a variety of languages - languages that were based on the principle of gematria. That is, each letter has a number value, and so there can be certain ways to encode knowledge using various systems of alchemy, ciphers, and gematria. I mention alchemy as there is also a symbolic way to transfer knowledge. The Rosicrucian Project appears to be a software download into the human mind’s hardware. Now, these things live on in our collective unconscious. The First Folio was also laid out with certain ciphers encoded into it through the printing process, resulting in the use of symbols such as the 3-4-5 equilateral triangle. Today associated with the Masonic structure, but we know further through the Pythagorean Mysteries - we will get to those, too. One of the numerical keys that appears is “53” so we’ll have to revisit that, after we’ve digested some further mathematical concepts associated with the hermetic ways.

We also want to highlight some upcoming themes that appear in the Rosicrucian Project, one being the political theater that we will coalesce with the Republic of Venice, the Council of Ten, and thus we see this as the Italian influence upon both Sir Thomas North and Edward de Vere. Sir Thomas North, we think perhaps served the role prior to DeVere. This is a multigenerational project that culminates with Francis Bacon, perhaps. The Rosicrucian Project is used to bring knowledge, political thoughts, and religious ideologies to the masses. It produces a national mythology for the English. Thus, it may be hard to differentiate that from our second theme, that is that these plays thus serve as propaganda for the Empire. One baton that John Dee passes to Bacon is that of the British Empire, but it’s an English Empire, not a British one. We’ve mentioned our enthusiasm for astrotheology before, and another way that the stars can serve is through navigation. Many of these great polymaths were also then to be some of the Great Navigators - men such as Piri Reis who always seem to have ties to these mystery schools and secret societies. And these too are linked through the Republic of Venice and its mastery of the seas to the British Empire and its trading dominance brought about by John Dee, but again a multigenerational project, linked through the stars.

Before we handle April 23, let’s say a word about the man from Stratford. We do not think he was an author, but another member of the Rosicrucian fraternity. He appears to be a wool merchant, possibly a William Dugdale according to Dawkins and possibly Green, but William Shakespeare appears to be a conjuration into a character now simply known as The Bard. According to the Stratfordians, John Shakespeare was the wool merchant. But we find the Stratfordian Argument to be held up as much by the Authority of the Establishment, as any factual evidence. It appears, at least to me, to be a cult. We find the Stratfordian evidence lacking and that the Roscicrucian Project allows for the confusion due to their being multiple authors, and the creation of a mythos. That is that Shakespeare is a collection of the works of many greats coalesced into a mythology, The Bard of the British Empire.

April 23, ties directly into that. The date serves as a call to St. George, the slayer of the Dragon. St. George is typically depicted spearing the dragon. Here we see 4/23 used as both the birth and death of William Shakespeare. Miguel Cervantes is also interred on 4/23/1616 - that is, neither of them died on April 23, but that date was fixed at their death, and signifies when they were buried rather than their actual death dates, Shakespeare passed 4/12 and Cervantes on 4/22. One can assume that they’re linked, but we’ll have to see where Cervantes appears, though we do admittedly have a penchant for the Fool and Rocinante. Another frequency that appears to be a key is that of 432. We’ll leave that to another column as well, but we did remark that one of the ciphers we’re seeing again is that of the Nine. This also conjures up to us the idea of Abracadabra, which is another topic we’ll return to, but we want to continue on, but with a twist. One of the keys is to add three (3) days after the birth, given the baptism would follow three days after, another key we are given.

April 23 also serves as a cipher, if we use 4/23 and add 3 days, we get 4/26, so we have switched our frequency over to Enochian. Enochian is a channeled language (well, we think it’s not so much channeled as it is part of these esoteric systems, probably Italian based off of 21 - 3 x 7 - characters as it uses a similar structure to english and other known languages) which was passed from Edward Kelly to John Dee thanks to the Angel Gabriel. The Enochian tables are based on four (4) watchtowers of 12 x 13 characters (156; with 4 x 156 = 624). We’ll see that these codes are mutable; you can transmute 624 into 4/26 (the baptism day, 3 days after 4/23) or to 6/24, which so happens to be the “death” date of de Vere, June 24, 1604. We’ll have to cover de Vere in depth later, but his death was unremarked upon, despite his status. He appeared to have lost the Game of Thrones but to have ascended to some sort of hidden Poet King. Yet it is not his name we revere, but William Shakesepeare’s.

The esoteric goal of the project is something that may be called the Great Work, that is bringing enlightenment to the masses, a spiritual alchemy as much as a material one. Because of the twin forces of the Church and the State, this had to be hidden. Thus all the literal minded find it all a little much to take, but if you have developed these eyes to see and ears to hear, then it begins to click slowly at first, and then all at once, like a lightning strike. Much like the original Brotherhood, we think that the Invisible College gets infiltrated and corrupted for use by the Control Mechanism. It’s an inevitable effect of the process, it appears, for they are codependent and coeval from one another - dialectic materialism or the hegelian dialectic, we often simply refer to it as IAO - Isis Apophis Osiris, as it appears to conjure up that mythos; or simply thesis – antithesis – synthesis.

We wanted to remark on twins earlier, one of the codes, identified by Petter Amundsen, refers to “TWO” while the work of Peter Dawkins brings in the Twins, Gemini. Either way, we find them a frequent motif in these researches. But one way we have learned how to count to two would be from the Fibonacci series; another recurring motif – zero, one, one, two (we will also learn how to count to four/ten). So that could include our hidden hand with de Vere, as well as Dee and Bacon as the masterminds behind this Great Work. De Vere and Bacon are also both rumored to be possible natural sons of Queen Elizabeth, which would also make them brothers. Another pair of Twins we find with the current Age, that is the Age of Pisces ♓. With one Light Twin, we might say, another the Dark Twin, or the fallen one, which we might also say resonates with these researchers. However, within these larger ages, there also appear to be different cycles that also frequently repeat. We currently appear to be in a generational cycle, but there are wheels within wheels. Now where have we heard that before?

I like to think of this analogy which I have mentioned before, that of Magical Egypt being a five hundred year magic act. I think Shakespeare is much the same. With the work of Alan Green, I came to understand the Rosicrucian Project in this light. It appears that he has one possible lead for the missing folios, so we would recommend the Bard Code for that analysis. When you realize some of the implications that the knowledge that is being passed down was only rediscovered in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, it really makes you wonder. Things that make you go hmmm. I find the great pyramid codes, and some of the others less impressive than the mathematical ciphers that present such things as euler’s number.

Another tie in to the 23 Enigma, which I guess will have to be forthcoming, since I was spurred on to write this after my appearance on Brad Press. One of the ways Bacon was able to mastermind this project was through the use of the printing press. In the alphanumeric cipher, an A is 1 and a B is 2, and so on, with the 24 character elizabethan alphabet yielding values of U/V for 20 and W for 23. (this may be more mathematical jiggering, but it bees like that sometimes). This allows for us to interpret the “vv” in the Shakespearian manuscripts as 40, rather than the ordinal 23 value for W. Bacon in this system would yield a 33 for Bacon (2+1+3+14+13=33), de Vere was 40 (combined with 17 for his status as the 17th earl, we get a 17-40 full signature as well as our Twins again with the two Vs). John Dee’s 007 appears to represent 00 as eyes (I have a thousand eyes and one) and 7. Seven is one of the primes and one of those numbers. It has a mind of its own. Mathematical jiggering and esoteric maths are something we’ll revisit throughout these series as it’s baked into the Hidden Patterns of Creation.

Bacon and Rising Above the Abyss

A lot of the references that Peter Dawkins makes are to the Kabbalah, the 10 Sephiroth, and the 22 Paths of the Tree of Life. That’s a value of 32, so when we bring Heaven to Earth we rise above the abyss, we ascend to 33, thus another reference to Bacon. Much of the passing of this knowledge down is to educate the masses exoterically, and also to pass down the keys to enlightenment through these mystical ways. We’re tracking the progress of this system from the ancients in the Brotherhood of the Snake, through the Mysteries, into the Arabic Empire with the Brethren of Purity and out of the Crusades through the Knights Templar, now we’ve journeyed into the Renaissance with the Rosicrucian project. We are following the stars and the use of Mythology in order to follow these societies through their various evolution paths.

Dawkins also link this Project to the kundalini, and ties it into both Gemini and Ophiuchus, so you might say that it got my attention. I don’t know that we specifically included Gemini, but we see the duality aspect motif repeated throughout these myths - and we have noted Pisces, and we should also remark for those who might be saying ‘but what about the Age of Aquarius, Brad’ - well, I think you’re jumping the gun by a couple hundred years, but also it has a unification of water and air, but still contains the inherent polarity through the symbol ♒︎ with twin parallel lines. I remarked to some of the romance that it was very Game of Thrones, and we can also make another reference, to go down, you must go up (which strikes to me of some of the prophecies), in order to ascend above the abyss, we have to go down into the chariot, through Merkava mysticism, which appears to be the way these kabbalistic teachings are used.

Again, here, we can see this perhaps Baconian ideal of bringing Heaven down to Earth. Where the idea is where we want to unite our Mind with our Body. We want to be of One Mind, that is to be the Master of our own Domain, to use the parlance of our times. We have these twin polarities within us, uniting within the kundalini, and we’re often reminded of the Gospel of Thomas.

“Jesus said, “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”“

And perhaps that is a good summary of the Rosicrucian Project and the works of Shakespeare, lessons in how to master our passions, and how to achieve salvation, how to find heaven on earth.

“Jesus said, ‘If those who lead you say, ‘See, the Kingdom is in the sky,’ then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you. Rather, the Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty.’”

Our story continues with the introduction of a third entrant to the Discordians, Robert Anton Wilson (RAW, and sometimes Bob). RAW was working as an editor for Playboy magazine and living in Chicago at the time. RAW features a lot in our process, so we’ll be returning to him quite a bit. I’m fairly convinced that he was not working for anyone in the spook world, but we will leave that for you to decide. Though RAW appeared to have a guardian angel at Playboy despite being an avid protestor and known agitator. This guardian angel provided protection after an initial inquiry into his “communism”, he appeared to be significantly less spooked out than we’ll find with Kerry Thornley. The extent of his life in poverty is also an attestation to the notion that Robert Anton Wilson was used by Intelligence, but not formally approved.

If we take seriously the idea that intelligence could have been using RAW, it becomes all the more interesting that RAW began receiving and publishing letters from Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst during his time at Playboy as a writer. It is also a little funny that Omar will later accuse RAW of being his CIA handler. As we enter Operation Mindfuck, we will also enter what Bob called Chapel Perilous. You can think of Chapel Perilous as a waystop in what Nietzsche and others call The Abyss. I think of it as The Tower in the Tarot, a topic we’ll return to again, as the Tarot is one of the ways we’ll use steganography in order to navigate the travails of Chapel Perilous.

Operation Mindfuck was the idea to create a conspiracy out of nothing and to blame it for everything wrong with the world. It began with a letter to the editor in Playboy and spread like wildfire. I think of these early Discordians as the Velvet Underground of the 60’s counterculture. An early example would be the Black Mass, a group of black Discordians who claimed credit for all the nefarious activities of the Weather Underground. The Weather Underground were a group of student activists, Students for a Democratic Society, responsible for a variety of bombings during the sixties and seventies, mainly protesting the Vietnam War and Racism. And as we all came to find out with the Church Committee, the worst violence was mainly due to infiltration thanks to intelligence operatives through COINTELPRO.

The Discordians just blamed it all on the Bavarian Illuminati. There just happened to be a group operating out of Berkley going by that name, the Bavarian Illuminati - those were the times, we had the Discordians and the Merry Pranksters running around, why not the Illuminati, too. Kerry Thornley quickly points out that the Berkley Illuminati group is nothing but a prank and a hoax, but, in fact, that the real Bavarian Illuminati are running things. The Secret Masters; the Custodians, call them what you will. This will be featured prominently in the book that results out of this time, The Illuminatus Trilogy, by RAW and Robert Shea. Much of the plot is about the neverending war between the forces of chaos and order, represented by the Discordians and the Bavarian Illuminati. Kerry Thornley has also adopted the moniker of Hassan-i-Sabbah X. And so one of the ideas we’ll explore further in my upcoming book is about the connections between the historical Order of Assassins, the Hashashin; the Knights Templar and Freemasons; and the Bavarian Illuminati. We’ll then follow the Illuminati up to today and to all of these modern day merry pranksters.

Kerry Thornley, our friend Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst, was a subject of the Warren Commission following the assassination of JFK. As you may recall, he wrote the book The Idle Warriors based on Lee Harvey Oswald before the Kennedy assassination (One of the co-conspirators was Louise Lacey, who just so happened to be the editor of Oswald (1965) by Thornley.) This would also happen to put him on the radar for the Jim Garrison investigation into the conspiracy. Kerry Thornley was indicted by Garrison in 1968. Now, it just so happens that on the Garrison inquiry, a young man is convinced that the Bavarian Illuminati are behind it and every other thing in the world. Thus, Kerry launches Operation Mindfuck in response to the conspiracy, the original idea being that they would blame the Bavarian Illuminati for every conspiracy imaginable. They thought it was in good fun, that is, until they found that there in fact really was a conspiracy behind everything - the Nexus of our control mechanism, call it what you will.

I must admit that has been my own experience. If you begin going ‘down the rabbit hole’ into certain subjects, you’ll find that the first hand accounts are all missing. For example we don’t have any texts from the first hand witnesses from everyone from Jesus to Mohammad to Mao. And in the modern day, we will often have conflicting points or opinions on everything from the JFK assassination to 911 to recent events such as the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the attempted assassinations of Donald J. Trump. Fake News, indeed, fnord.

Or is he really an intelligence agent, with a macabre cover story for his role in the JFK conspiracy? Bob Wilson’s Maybe Logic

The Copenhagen Interpretation is sometimes called “model agnosticism” and holds that any grid we use to organize our experience of the world is a model of the world and should not be confused with the world itself. Alfred Korzybski, the semanticist, tried to popularize this outside physics with the slogan, “The map is not the territory.” Alan Watts, a talented exegete of Oriental philosophy, restated it more vividly as “The menu is not the meal.” - RAW Cosmic Trigger (16)

I must admit upfront I am a proponent of the Maybe Logic idea that RAW puts forth. He wrote about in detail using the idea of model agnosticism. I think he’s the author of the following section of the Principia Discordia that outlines this ideology very clearly under the Erisian mythos. The following passage from the Principia Discordia illuminates the idea of maybe logic in this context:

The Aneristic Principle is that of APPARENT ORDER; the Eristic Principle is that of APPARENT DISORDER. Both order and disorder are man made concepts and are artificial divisions of PURE CHAOS, which is a level deeper that is the level of distinction making.

With our concept making apparatus called “mind” we look at reality through the ideas-about-reality which our cultures give us. The ideas-about- reality are mistakenly labeled “reality” and unenlightened people are forever perplexed by the fact that other people, especially other cultures, see “reality” differently. It is only the ideas-about-reality which differ. Real (capital-T True) reality is a level deeper that is the level of concept.

We look at the world through windows on which have been drawn grids (concepts). Different philosophies use different grids.

Hopefully, the future reader will have a link to my columns discussing some of these ideas further, as we’ll want to explore the principles of Duality (Order and Disorder) within the context of what I think of as the Pythagorean school of thought. Developed out of the Monad, we’ll also see how that compares to the hermetic principles, things we find very useful such as the concept of the Universal Mind.

A culture is a group of people with rather similar grids. Through a window we view chaos, and relate it to the points on our grid, and thereby understand it. The ORDER is in the GRID. That is the Aneristic Principle.

Western philosophy is traditionally concerned with contrasting one grid with another grid, and amending grids in hopes of finding a perfect one that will account for all reality and will, hence, (say unenlightened westerners) be True. This is illusory; it is what we Erisians call the ANERISTIC ILLUSION. Some grids can be more useful than others, some more beautiful than others, some more pleasant than others, etc., but none can be more True than any other.

We are really getting into it now, as we can see the ideas of Kantian philosophy, the noumenon and the phenomenon. (The things unto themselves and the things we experience.)

DISORDER is simply unrelated information viewed through some particular grid. But, like “relation”, no-relation is a concept. Male, like female, is an idea about sex. To say that male-ness is “absence of female-ness”, or vice versa, is a matter of definition and metaphysically arbitrary. The artificial concept of no-relation is the ERISTIC PRINCIPLE.

The hermetic principles include both polarity as well as gender, and we’ll further elaborate about how these concepts apply, specifically with our Law of Sevens. Dang it, Johnson, someone messed up, it should have been Fives.

The belief that “order is true” and disorder is false or somehow wrong, is the Aneristic Illusion. To say the same of disorder, is the ERISTIC ILLUSION.

The point is that (little-t) truth is a matter of definition relative to the grid one is using at the moment, and that (capital-T) Truth, metaphysical reality, is irrelevant to grids entirely. Pick a grid, and through it some chaos appears ordered and some appears disordered. Pick another grid, and the same chaos will appear differently ordered and disordered.

Reality is the original Rorschach.

So we can use this model of reality to attempt to read the tea leaves, or to switch between suitable models as we need. But according to that system, objective reality, or divine revelation, capital T Truth is not readily observed in our subjective reality tunnels. It tends to result in what Bob Wilson called Maybe Logic or what I think of as the Cosmic Soup. The probabilistic model of the Universe, and how our Goal is Unity with the Monad. A conversation we’ll be continuing throughout the series. In both mysticism and physics, there is general agreement that “things” are constructed by our nervous systems and that “realities” (plural) are better described as systems or bundles of energy-functions. Through this, we can see the idea presented as Duality between both the little t truth grid and the capital T Truth realm as well as the inherent Duality between little t truths. The salve to this dilemma is Balance, and what we think of as The Way. Sufis call it The Path, and we also use that nomenclature, because it leads to what we think of as the realm of Unity, but there, as may be apparent there is no discernment. It is beyond the concept. But down here, we are in a world full of duality, which is how we get War and Violence, but also Sex and Love, and you can see how those get all mixed up as well! But, there is always the Way.

Guerrilla Ontology

“Ewige Blumenkraft und ewige Schlangenkraft”

In The Theory of Games and Economic Behavior, John von Neumann and Oskar Morgenstern theorize that the only strategy that an opponent cannot predict is a random strategy. One of the Discordian motto’s is that “We Discordians must ALL stick apart” thus adding a random element into the whole affair. Operation Mindfuck included pranking a great number of what the Discordians call the Greyfaces. Men in power across the United States, including magazines such as the aforementioned Playboy and Teenset. RAW and Robert Shea contributed to the cause:

“...the Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria has infiltrated, allied itself with or taken over all TV networks and wire services, the Federal Reserve System, the John Dillinger Died For you Society, the Chicago Tribune, the Discordian Society, the Communist Party (USA), the Paratheo-Anametamystikhood of Eris Esoteric (P.O.E.E.), Hell’s Angels, the Sophisticated Sisters of Blessed Saints Claustrophilia and Theophobia, the Mafia, the Black Lotus Society, the Lawrence Talbot Memorial Society and enough additional organizations to fill a book the size of the Manhattan telephone directory (yellow pages).” Teenset

We can classify this project under the categorization of guerrilla ontology. Guerilla ontology would involve using these techniques to shock one out of their rigid programming and conditioning (their ‘base’ reality tunnel) into a state of general agnosticism (we could also refer to it as “hypernovelty” and it ties in further to the idea that the Universe wants to create new things…) But it also works as part of the myth making process:

The Discordian revelations seem to have pressed a magick button. New exposes of the Illuminati began to appear everywhere, in journals ranging from the extreme Right to the ultra-Left. Some of this was definitely not coming from us Discordians. In fact, one article in the Los Angeles Free Press in 1969 consisted of a taped interview with a black phone-caller who claimed to represent the “Black Mass,” an Afro-Discordian conspiracy we had never heard of. He took credit on behalf of the Black Mass and the Discordians, for all the bombings elsewhere attributed to the Weather Underground (RAW Cosmic Trigger)

This might be a bit of Discordian myth making on its own - as a known Discordian worked for the LA Free Press at the time. Guerilla ontology turned out to be like playing a game of Russian Roulette. For better or ill. The caller used the name “Hassan-i-Sabbah X”, a character created originally by Thornley but one that would appear throughout the Discordian literature. I wonder if this is where we see Greg Hill disassociate himself with the movement as he was not too thrilled with the connection between Discordianism and terrorism. Guerrilla ontology indeed. “Tis an ill wind that blows no minds.” - Mal2.

I would say that Operation Mindfuck is the most successful clandestine operation of the last hundred years at least. You’ve heard about artichoke and MK Ultra and a hundred other ops but who really knows about Operation Mindfuck. A very select group of people know about this operation and what it is has greatly affected the world we live in today.

The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam

“The plotters created a hall of mirrors. By the time the shots were fired, there were so many Oswalds running around Texas that the police could have arrested three of them and still had one left over to blame.” – Jim Garrison

I’d like to kick off this column by acknowledging the work of Jim Marrs, the author of Crossfire – one of the book’s that Oliver Stone based his “JFK” movie on. I watched JFK, along with JFK Revisited, some of Marrs’ interviews, and used my clanker to help with the details. Marrs also worked with a researcher named John Armstrong, so I want to make sure I acknowledge his contribution as well. We are going to build on the idea that Kerry Thornley was a double of Lee Harvey Oswald, and that he was one of a number of LHO duplicates. We’ll start off with the “Harvey and Lee” theory as that ties into the idea that this LHO operation is part of a larger Intelligence network (you’ll notice I did not link “Harvey and Lee” as it’s out of print and very pricey. Things that make you go hmmmmm) .

This network would tie into a larger Nexus of interests that is one of the underlying supports for this overarching project. The Nexus refers to a variety of interests that could also be referred to as the Empire, including but not limited to; the City of London, the Vatican, the BIS, and District of Columbia, and whom some might call the banksters, the royals, and/or the globalists. This consortium of interests is what we will consider the Control Mechanism which we’ll further elaborate elsewhere, exploring such topics as the Brotherhood of the Snake, the Custodians, and the work of Jacques Vallee through these Messengers of Deception.

We have mentioned the idea that the Network was “Building a Legend” around Lee Harvey Oswald, and another term that we’d like to include in this column is that of ‘Sheepdipping.” Marrs argues that the doubles are used to create the persona around Lee – a false persona but a useful one, a high-profile, disgruntled defector. One clear example of this would be the arrest of Lee in New Orleans as part of the Fair Play for Cuba committee. “They were ‘sheepdipping’ him. They took a clean Marine and dipped him into the waters of pro-Castro radicalism, using doubles to make sure everyone in Dallas remembered a ‘nut’ named Oswald before the first shot was ever fired,” (Crossfire, Marrs). One may also wonder if it was just sloppiness on their behalf that allows us to tie the address Oswald used back to Guy Bannister? Guy Bannister leads us back to David Ferrie and Clay Shaw. Ferrie specifically seems to be a LHO handler, who has been spotted with the “official Oswald” and the doppelgangers.

The genesis of creating doubles for this LHO character probably dates back to LHO’s time with David Ferrie in the Louisiana Air Guard. I find that interesting due to the fact that we have a limousine ride with Kerry Thornley, Slim Brooks, and Gary Kirsten, and we get a similar story about Lee Harvey Oswald which ties into the larger duplicate picture. (Speaking of Kerry Thornley, it’s quite interesting that “Two young men who had served in the Marines together were “coincidentally” living in The Quarter, a few blocks apart, without meeting again.” - RAW) In late summer 1963, a black Cadillac was identified in Clinton, Louisiana with none other than Clay Shaw, David Ferrie, and Lee Harvey Oswald. While this sighting was taking place, the “official” Oswald was working at the Reily Coffee Company. This appears to be even more ‘sheepdipping’ as the Coffee Company was owned by a wealthy anti-Castro supporter.

Marrs theorizes that two boys are merged into one identity – so we’ll refer to them as “Harvey” Oswald and “Lee” Oswald. Harvey is the shorter, more Eastern European version. This is the man who was arrested in the theater and assassinated by Jack Ruby. He is described as having thinning hair and a narrower frame. Lee Oswald is the taller, more athletic looking American identity. He’s also described with a full head of hair and straight silhouette. Oswald had a mastoidectomy as a child, which is a matter of dispute with regards to later medical exams and the autopsy. The theory goes that “Harvey” is the LHO that defected to Russia, that Harvey version is the one who knew Russian.

Harvey Oswald has a separate identity beginning in high school in New York and continuing on to the Russia defection. This version of Oswald was more fluent in Russian. The fact that he marries the niece of a Soviet Union official whilst he is over there only seems to indicate a larger Intelligence apparatus at play. I don’t think we have mentioned the Cuban Missile Crisis in this work, but we may have discussed it on the podcast. There’s a lot of tension going on with the U.S., Cuba, and Russia at this time, which makes Oswald’s defection to Russia and return to the U.S. all that more intriguing. “Lee” was a high school dropout, so this indicates that “Harvey” is our Russian defector, filling in for this identity. The Oswald that comes back from Russia appears to be the “Harvey” Oswald version, which begs the question of where the “Lee” Oswald version went.

Marrs also refers to the J.D. Tippit assassination. Officer J.D. Tippit also bears a striking resemblance to LHO. Tippit was killed, allegedly by Lee Harvey Oswald after the assassination of JFK. I said that he was assassinated due to the nature of his killing, he was shot in the stomach, and also in the head, in an apparent coup de grace. Marrs also questions the timeline for this incident, noting that Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested at the theater at the same time that officer J.D. Tippit was murdered. (An alternative theory is that Tippit bears more of a resemblance to JFK, himself. And that the reason for his murder was for the use of the body in the coverup. It could explain the stomach wound followed by the head shot. This would also tie into the larger conspiracy with the use of Tippit for the staging of the autopsy photos given his hairline. Doubles within doubles!)

Further muddying the waters, we have witness accounts of two separate Oswalds arrested at the Texas Theatre itself. The official story is that Oswald was subdued and taken out the front exit. Marrs cites reports that a second man was led out the back exit. The reports include local witnesses and researchers that the second Oswald was put into a police car and arrested following the first arrest of Oswald. In this scenario, the patsy “Harvey” Oswald was already in the theater, while the second “Lee” Oswald was leading the police right to him. They arrest the patsy and then the duplicate is shuttled out the back door.

For A Few Imposters More

“The evidence shows there was a Lee Harvey Oswald who was a mediocre shot, didn’t own a car, and couldn’t drive; yet there was another Oswald seen at rifle range hitting bullseyes and another Oswald test-driving a car at high speeds.”

“There is a possibility that an impostor is using Oswald’s birth certificate and data… to impersonate him.” – J. Edgar Hoover, internal FBI memo

We’ve established a few potential Lee Harvey Oswald identities and personas. Alluded to previously, there’s the “Mexico City” imposter. The Mexico City LHO is apparently using Oswald’s name and identity to try and defect to Cuba. We have some of evidence that turns up courtesy of none other than J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI. They were listening in to his conversations, and, of course, kept tapes seemingly identifying multiple LHOs. We’ve also noted previously that the FBI had further identified copies of Lee Harvey’s birth certificate. This is the 5’6” version of LHO so apparently neither “Lee” nor “Harvey” nor our other doppelgangers. However, the Mexico City Oswald is credited as LHO on the official timeline, though many dispute that fact.

At the same time as our imposter “Lee Harvey” the “official Oswald” was on his way to Mexico City at that time, another version was also observed in Dallas. This version was known as “Leon” Oswald, and “Leon” was identified with some Cuban exiles in Dallas. “Leon Oswald” was a crack shot and in favor of the idea that Kennedy should be killed (By hook or by crook, it’s not hard to find people in this story who want JFK dead).

Kerry Thornley was later run out of New Orleans for celebrating the assassination, we should note. (Again, will the real Lee Harvey please stand up?) “Leon” spoke fluent or at least better Spanish and was of the more aggressive LHO type. This is the same type that was arrested in NOLA.

One of the ideas we’ll further promote and promulgate, one of our propositions as it were, is the idea that we are being subjected to Political Theater or fabricated reality. We are being instructed in the mythology of the world we inhabit, and the history of the world is used to help shape our belief systems. Our tenet is to treat history as mythology and mythology as history. This is an idea we’ll elaborate on further throughout the various series, probing the underlying mythos we are within. In this specific case, we see the whole mythology around Lee Harvey Oswald as a theater production.

We’ve identified a few imposters or variations on the official Oswald narrative. I think the “Lee” was probably playing as “Leon” as I believe he was embedded with the Cuban exiles while “Harvey” was the official Oswald, married and living in Dallas. I think that there’s another “Lee” account we have in this story. That version is from Robert Vinson, retired Air Force Sergeant. Vinson had hitched a ride on a C-54 transport plane headed from Andrews Air Force Base headed to Colorado. After takeoff, the pilot announced the assassination of JFK and the plane made a detour to Dallas, landing on a sandy, improvised strip (later identified as the Redbird Airport near the Trinity River). Two passengers board the plane at this point, a Latino man and an Oswald duplicate. This appears to be our taller, more Western Lee Oswald. The plane then departed for Roswell (Walker Air Force Base), and the two men were met on the tarmac and whisked away in a car. Vinson was shocked that night watching the News with the arrest of “Harvey” Oswald. I think that ties into his disappearance after the assassination of Harvey on live television by Jack Ruby.

There’s also another possible sighting of Oswald or a duplicate at the Redbird Airport itself. According to Crossfire, a man looking like Oswald was practicing takeoffs and landings in a private plane. I should add that if Harvey Oswald is defected to Russia, then Lee Oswald may be embedded within these paramilitary camps for Operation Mongoose. There were at least five paramilitary training bases established in south Florida, Louisiana, and Texas. Lee working out of bases in Louisiana and Texas during this time makes the most sense with Harvey playing the role of the official Oswald. This would also connect Lee into David Ferrie and the larger Network.

During the assassination itself, we have another sighting of Oswald and a duplicate Oswald, maybe more than one? AP photographer Ike Altgens has a photograph of the Depository Duplicate – Billy Nolan Lovelady, the Doorway man. “If that’s Lovelady in the doorway, then Lee Harvey Oswald is the luckiest man in History to have a twin brother standing on the steps of the building where he’s allegedly shooting the President.” - attributed to Harold Weisberg in WhiteWash. The photo shows a man looking remarkably like Oswald in the front doorway of the Texas School Book Depository. Other witnesses identify Oswald looking out a window of the lower floor of the Depository and on the second floor stairway or buying a Coke at a vending machine. Marrs theorizes that the professional kill team was on the upper floor, possibly with an Oswald duplicate.

Another Oswald sighting comes from Dial Ryder at Irving Sports Shop. A man identifying himself as Oswald came into the shop to have a telescopic sight mounted and bore-sighted on a rifle. The rifle found on the sixth floor of the Depository had a scope already mounted by the mail order company. Whether this was the same Oswald as the one spotted at the Irving Furniture Mart is unclear, but this seems to vindicate our “Hall of Mirrors” around Lee Harvey Oswald.

Third Time’s the Charm

When Oswald cried out, ‘I’m just a patsy,’ he wasn’t just saying he was innocent; he was saying he had been played. He realized at that moment that while he was sitting in a theater, his ‘legend’ – created by others – was being used to convict him.

Both Marrs and Oliver Stone in “JFK Revisited” include the attempted assassinations or foiled assassination attempts that occur in both Chicago and Tampa in November just prior to the successful attempt in Dallas on November 22. Thomas Vallee was a former Marine, also stationed in Japan. He was arrested prior to JFK’s visit to Chicago, a visit that was incidentally cancelled due to a national security matter involving Vietnam – a political crisis in South Vietnam. Vietnam will be discussed further in this series as we proceed with the counterculture narratives. Vallee was picked up for a minor traffic incident and found to have a rifle and ammo. He also worked in a building overlooking the planned motorcade route through Chicago. While Vallee seems to fit our “Patsy” profile, Gilberto Policarpo Lopez was more pro-Castro radicalized.

Gilberto Lopez also has a Mexico City link as he was traveling from the U.S. to Mexico around the time of the assassination. His travel patterns and activities mirror the alleged movements of Oswald. Lopez may have been used as a double intended to throw the trail off the official Oswald and to link the assassination attempt back to Cuban Intelligence.

Chicago is home to the Mafia family run by Tony Accardo and Sam Giancana. The Chicago family is reported to be behind the election of JFK. However, the modern day evidence links more to Daley and the Democratic Machine than the Mob. The real question is how integrated the Mob and the Machine were in Chicago. Maybe, they gave him a little nudge to help him pass the finish line ahead of Richard Nixon. Tampa Bay, of course, is the new home of Santo Trafficante, Jr, formerly the Don of Havana. And Dallas falls under the jurisdiction of Carlos Marcello.

One question that has always plagued me was why JFK and not Fidel? Castro shut down the casinos, ran the mob out of Havana – Meyer Lansky fled, Carlos Marcello exiled to New Orleans, and Santo Trafficante was arrested. Frank Ragano gets Trafficante released, with one of the rumors is that Jack Ruby visited Trafficante in the Havana jail. Ruby was a gunrunner for Santo at the time. So again we have the same collusion of forces, the CIA, the US military, and the mob. Frank Ragano is an interesting character, after all he goes through, he still refers to Santo as “wise and clever beyond belief.” Ragano has a book “Mob Lawyer” as well as a PBS Hourline special you can see “JFK, Hoffa, and the Mob.” Santo didn’t comment to the committee (House Committee on Assassinations) but he told Ragano that he lied to them – they never went after Castro. He told them what they wanted to hear. They had scammed the Agencies.

Now, I don’t know what to make of all of it, but as others have pointed out, this appears to be a Continuity of Government Operation to restore the government; a palace coup to keep us under the same ‘Custodial’ Control Mechanism that we see elsewhere with the works of William Bramley and Jacques Vallee, as well as Charles Fort and found in predictive programming from 1984, Brave New World, to This Perfect Day. I guess we can at least summarize this by saying we can look at the score. Castro lived to a ripe old age and JFK and RFK did not. As Frank Ragano said, Jim Garrison knew who his friends were. And he never went after Carlos Marcello.

Our story begins in late 1950’s Southern California with Greg Hill, soon to be known as Malaclypse the Younger (Mal2 for short), and Kerry Thornley, aka Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst. You see, one evening, they were visited by an emissary of the great goddess Eris, the Greek divinity of Discord. The young men had taken to hanging out in a bowling alley, seeing as it was one of the sole places they could hang out all night and drink coffee – or beer, depending on who tells the tale. It was there in the Southern California bowling alley that an emissary of Eris* visited this unlikely duo. From this encounter with Eris’ messenger, Malaclyspe and Ravenhurst devised the world’s first “true religion” based on Eris and the Original Snub. That religion is Discordia — some say it’s a complicated joke disguised as a religion, others say it’s a religion disguised as a complicated joke.

*The emissary from Eris was a chimpanzee, probably not Hanuman the Monkey God, though they are never properly introduced. The chimp emissary delivers the original scroll of the Sacred Chao to our dynamic duo in the bowling alley…

Now, briefly, the story of Eris in mythology is centered around the story of the Golden Apple. You see, the old gods were having a bit of a shindig on ole Mount Olympus, but Eris was not invited; she’s not very good at parties. Or outside of them, to be fair. To send her regards, she prepared a golden apple which she marked Kallisti – ‘To the most fair’. Whether this was an apple of gold or Acapulco gold remains a matter of some contention. Thus, she delivered the Golden Apple to three of the goddesses present – Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite. Zeus knew better than to get involved in this affair so he wisely bowed out – probably still limping from some infraction dealt out by Hera over a swan incident. There’s a sucker born every minute, and Zeus finds Paris. Paris is offered three gifts from our three goddesses, and, of course, he chooses Helen of Troy. The Trojan War was fought following that decision. The Discordians elaborate upon it much more.

Okay, so what was an emissary of Eris, the goddess of Discord, doing in a bowling alley in southern California in the late 1950’s? Well, I cannot answer that question, but I can say that it resulted in either a religion based on a joke, or a joke based on a religion.

Proposition: one of the theories we have is that these various Mystery Schools promulgate religions. To get your graduate degree, you have to create some kind of Religious faction. Discordianism seems to be the opposing view to this theory as it mocks Religion in many ways. Examples of these types of graduate programs include Mormonism, Scientology, and Nation of Islam among many others - Messengers of Deception by Jacques Vallee also covers the topic from a different vantage, and it is also something we’ll expand upon.

This will also lead us to the Principia Discordia. Now, you might be asking yourself how this ties into JFK and the Mob. Well, Mal2 and Omar needed more than a bowling alley for their late night prowling, so they decided to head across the country to New Orleans. Here, we also have to introduce Lee Harvey Oswald, a notorious N’Orleans character and the curious relationship he had with Kerry Thornley and the Discordians.

Reservist Kerry Thornley was called up for his two years of active duty with the Marine Corps in 1959. During that time, he had the honor to serve with a marine who goes by the name of Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO). I plan a follow up to this column called “Lee Harvey and the Smoking Mirrors” about some of the other LHO doubles. LHO and Thornley bear a resemblance to one another, discuss various ideologies such as communism, and they bond over their shared interests in the popular culture of the time. That year, Lee is dishonorably discharged from the Marines and defects to Russia. Thornley seems to be surprised when Lee defects to Russia – he seemed to think that Lee’s interest in communism was a bit of a put on. The Unit that LHO and Thornley are stationed with is based out of Japan. The work they do there is top secret work with U2 spy planes, and they both served as radar unit operators.

During their time in the marines together, LHO and Omar were stationed together in the US, and LHO defects a few months later while Thornley is in Japan. Kerry begins to work on a novel at this time, The Idle Warriors, and bases the main character on Lee Harvey Oswald. This will land Thornley in front of the Warren Commission some years later, but we’ll introduce a couple of other characters that may contribute to that. While in New Orleans, Kerry begins to work on his novel and meets Slim Brooks (“the Keeper of the Submarine keys” to Discordians) and Brother-in-Law (BIL), Gary Kirsten. Slim Brooks is alleged to be Jerry Milton Brooks, a member of the Minutemen and associate of Guy Bannister, as well as Brother-in-Law’s henchman. Gary Kirsten is also alleged to be E. Howard Hunt, but we will get to that. We’ll find that there isn’t much difference in the extreme ideologies, right or left, when it comes to that - violence is the answer. Doesn’t matter what the question is.

Thornley completes The Idle Warriors in 1962, thus completing the first book about Oswald BEFORE the Kennedy assassination. Let’s fill in a few of those pieces – we further discuss these operations on Bad Press and David brings them up elsewhere as well. During this time, we have the communist takeover of Cuba by Castro in 1959, thus ending the MAFIA’s time in Havana. During the Eisenhower administration, we get a counterintelligence operation called Operation 40 with anti-communist and anti-Castro Cubans and CIA operatives. They begin planning the Bay of Pigs invasion, which takes place in April 1961, with the US now under the command of JFK. After the failed invasion, Danny Sheehan tells a story about how they had arranged for air support, but the planes forgot to adjust for an hour time zone difference, as they were coming from Nicaragua “A clock, a clock, my kingdom for a clock” . After the Bay of Pigs fiasco, JFK promises Khrushchev to end Operation 40, but it’s simply replaced with Operation Mongoose.

Operation Mongoose, which happened to be named for the 33 species of extant mongeese species at the time, consists of US Intelligence agents, Mafia members, and Cuban exiles. Operation Mongoose* was run by USAF General Edward Landsdale and William King Harvey with the CIA based out of JMWAVE at the University of Miami. They will also conduct Operation Northwoods and begin their attempts or alleged attempts at the assassination of Fidel Castro. I do believe there were some honest attempts at Castro, but at some point the mob realizes they have had enough of the Kennedy brothers. John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s brother, Robert Kennedy, is his Attorney General. And for some reason, they decide to turn their sights on the Mob. RFK deports Carlos Marcello to Guatemala in April of 1961, while Jack Kennedy suffers a stroke in late 1961, which leads one to speculate that he may have also had a different say in things. The stroke left him almost completely disabled until 1969.

*One of the operations of Operation Mongoose involved a plot to infest Cuba with Lyme disease by dropping infected ticks on the island. This operation is sometimes linked to Operation Northwoods but that does not appear to be the case; Northwoods involved plans to hit the United States with False Flags whilst Operation Mongoose was for the communist regime. This ‘tick’ operation involves Plum Island, a source of modern day theories about ticks and red meat allergies.

Meanwhile, Greg Hill has been maintaining a low profile outside of the zine work with Thornley. One of the legends of the Principia Discordia is that the First Edition was printed on Jim Garrison’s Xerox machine while LHO was purchasing his rifle for the assassination of JFK. It turns out that it was probably AFTER the assassination that the girlfriend of Mal2 at the time copied some early Discordian literature on Garrison’s mimeograph in 1964. Also, late in 1961, Thornley goes on a limo ride with Slim Brooks and Brother-in-Law. The limo will be compared to another scene with LHO in Part 2: the Doppleganger Boogaloo.

BIL was also an aspiring author, and he had Kerry working on a book for him at this time as well, it seems like a good time to mention. Thornley’s typewriter and work were stolen from him – so it seems like they were setting Thornley up as a potential patsy. They had his typewriter and a manuscript he was researching and crafting for Kirsten called “Hitler was a Good Guy.” The pair seemed to keep a tab on Thornley whenever he was in town – in the early 1960’s as well as his return for the Garrison investigation later on.

One of the theories we are promulgating here is that Kerry Thornley was a double of Lee Harvey Oswald, used by the CIA to put Oswald in places he was not. Who LHO is remains a matter of contention that we’ll return to, as there are some discrepancies presented with him: his Marine record indicates he is 5’11” and the body that they buried was only 5’9” whereas the LHO that travels to Mexico City (this time to attempt to defect to Cuba) is estimated to be approximately 5’6”. Mexico City Lee Harvey also appears to be slightly older and balding. Further, the FBI investigation indicates that they knew it was not LHO’s voice. The FBI knew he was being targeted by intelligence. J Edgar Hoover also noted that someone was using LHO’s birth certificate as early as 1960. Meanwhile, LHO returned from Russia in 1962 and resides in the Fort Worth/Dallas area until his return to NOLA in April 1963. While LHO is in Russia in 1961 when they are taking their Limo ride, part of the whole thing is this idea of “Building a legend” around LHO and his duplicates or mirrors – or patsies.

Meanwhile, one of the questions that seems to come up is whether or not Lee Harvey Oswald was involved with the mob in New Orleans. First off, his uncle was a known associate of Sam Saia, one of Marcello’s lieutenants. A character by the name of Frenchy Brouillette says that he witnessed LHO and Marcello, the Don of NOLA, meet regularly. Marcello also happened to have Dallas as part of his territory. The story goes that in the Spring of 1963, Marcello, Sonny Trafficante, and possibly Tony Accardo and Sam Giancana were involved among others in the decision to assassinate JFK. Marcello, as mentioned, is the head of the family for New Orleans; Sonny Trafficante was the former head of Havana, and had now been relegated to Tampa; Accardo and Giancana control the Chicago area. Another topic we’ll get more into with Part 2 of this Series. The theory here would be that you have a convergence of the same groups that have been burned in the Bay of Pigs and Operation Mongoose – the mob, the CIA, and the Cuban exiles, among others.

Before we conclude, we would like to describe what we have heard pronounced as a ‘palace coup’ taking place on November 22, 1963. We’ll get more into these details, but let’s finish setting the stage so to speak. It seems likely that we have two three-man kill teams assembled in Dealy Plaza. I think one of them is from the Mob and the other is from Cuba. Danny Sheehan identifies a group, The S Force which includes one possible assassin, Roger Morales. It’s quite possible that one of the 3 Tramps is another hitman, Charles Harrelson. And our friend Frenchy fingers Tex Cobb as another. Johnny Roselli and also Lucien Sarti and Jean Souetre, a possible French connection have also been considered. Jim Marrs referred to it as a Spook convention taking place in Dealy Plaza. We think of it as “Muddying the Waters.” We’ll pick it up next time with his theory about there being 2 Oswalds, ”Lee” Oswald, and “Harvey” Oswald.

Another theme we’d like to reiterate is that we have been discussing the idea that Kerry Thornley was being set up – either as a duplicate of Lee Harvey Oswald or as potential patsy. The radio operators at Atsugi Naval Air Station were required to get security clearances (Thornley, ever the contrarian, picked out the ‘bad apples’ in his life and surprisingly was the first one in his unit cleared). One of the things we want to put a pin in for now is who else are the Spooks? Brooks and Brother-in-Law seem to be connected both to the CIA and the Mob. We’ll also introduce a few other connected fellows: Garry Bannister and David Ferrie, not to mention Clay Shaw; Frank Ragano and Jimmy Hoffa may also make an appearance, if not in one of these columns, then on the podcast.

David Ferrie and Lee Harvey Oswald have a curious meeting back in 1954-1955 when they are stationed together in the Louisiana Air Corps. There’s lots of strange things going on with David Ferrie, so they may come up here or there on the show. There’s also this greater “Gehlen Network” associated with the CIA and the Mafia as well as the Nazis, KGB, Red Army, and U.S. Army. LHO’s wife is the niece of a KGB officer, in fact, a colonel in the Soviet Union’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. One of the other terms we’ll use in this space is “Smoking Mirrors” as we try to parse through the deception and disinformation.
